Getting Started
Yes, Spraybook is completely free to download and use. There are no subscription fees, hidden costs, or premium tiers. All features are available to all users at no charge.
Spraybook is available for iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play Store. The app requires iOS 13.0 or later, or Android 6.0 or later.
Yes, you need to create a free account to use Spraybook. This ensures your spray records are securely stored in the cloud and synchronized across your devices. You can sign up using your email address.
While internet connection is needed for weather data loading and cloud sync, you can create and edit records offline. Your data will sync automatically when you're back online. Draft entries are stored locally on your device until you have connectivity.
Equipment Support
Spraybook supports six equipment types: Boom Sprayers (tractor-mounted), Drone Sprayers (UAV/aerial), Handheld Sprayers (backpack/manual), ATV/UTV Sprayers, Airblast Sprayers (orchard/vineyard), and Specialized Equipment (electrostatic, ULV, etc.). Each type has tailored fields for accurate record keeping.
Yes, you can add unlimited equipment to your profile. Each piece of equipment can have default settings like pressure, water rate, and nozzle type, which can be quickly selected when creating spray records.
Yes, Spraybook has dedicated support for drone/UAV sprayers with fields for flight height, flight speed, swath width, battery life, aircraft registration, pilot license, payload limits, and environmental operating limits. This ensures complete compliance documentation for aerial applications.
The Specialized Equipment type is designed for custom or unique application equipment. You can describe your equipment type and track all relevant application settings. If you have specific requirements, please contact us and we can discuss adding support for your equipment type.
Weather Data
With global weather data support including Google Weather and Visual Crossing, we cover locations worldwide. If automatic weather loading isn't available for your location, you can manually enter weather conditions for complete flexibility and control over your records.
Weather data can be automatically loaded for applications completed within the previous 72 hours. For older records, you can manually enter the weather conditions that were present during your spray application.
Spraybook records temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity, Delta T (temperature-humidity relationship), cloud cover, and rainfall. Weather can be recorded at three points: start of application, middle, and end, providing comprehensive environmental documentation.
Weather data is sourced from reputable providers including the Australian Bureau of Meteorology, Google Weather, and Visual Crossing. However, weather conditions can vary by location, so we also provide manual entry options for users who have on-site weather stations or prefer to record their own measurements.
Units & Measurements
Spraybook supports Imperial (United States), Metric (Australia, New Zealand, EU, Canada, and most of the world), and Hybrid (United Kingdom and Ireland). This ensures accurate record keeping regardless of your location. You can set your preferred system in Settings.
Yes, you can change your measurement system preference at any time in Settings. Your existing records will be preserved in their original units, and exports will use your currently selected measurement system for display.
Spraybook supports liquid products, solid/dry products, and concentrates with a wide range of application rate units including metric (L/ha, kg/ha, mL/100L), imperial (gal/acre, lb/acre, fl oz/gal), and per-area units (L/m², g/m²). You can track product names, active constituents, batch numbers, and rates.
Exporting & Compliance
Yes. You can export your spray records as professional PDF reports (Compact, Standard, or Comprehensive templates) or as spreadsheets (CSV format). PDF exports include an intro page with statistics and your details, making them ideal for compliance reporting and regulatory submissions.
Compact template shows entries in a table format with essential fields only. Standard template (recommended) displays each entry as a detailed card with full information except crop stage and brew name. Comprehensive template includes every available field for maximum detail. Choose based on your reporting needs.
You have complete control over which records to export. Use the date range and farm filters on the Export page to select specific records, or export all your records at once. You can also export individual entries from the entry detail page.
Spraybook is designed to capture the information typically required for spray application record keeping in many jurisdictions. However, compliance requirements vary by region, industry, and specific regulations. We recommend verifying that the app meets your local regulatory requirements. Spraybook provides comprehensive record keeping tools, but cannot guarantee compliance with all local regulations.
Data & Privacy
Yes. Your data is securely stored with industry-standard security measures using Firebase Cloud Storage. We never share your information with third parties, and you maintain full ownership of your records. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Yes, you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. We recommend exporting your records before deleting your account if you need to keep them for compliance purposes.
Yes, when you sign in to Spraybook on multiple devices, your data automatically syncs across all of them. Any changes you make on one device will be reflected on your other devices when they're connected to the internet.
Your spray records are safely stored in the cloud. Simply install Spraybook on your new device and sign in with your account credentials to access all your data. Draft entries that haven't been synced may be lost, so we recommend syncing regularly when you have internet connectivity.
Features & Functionality
Chemical brews are saved combinations of products that you use regularly. Instead of entering each product individually every time, you can select a brew and Spraybook will automatically calculate the correct volumes based on the area you're spraying. This saves time and reduces data entry errors.
Yes. You can create draft entries for upcoming jobs, making it quick and easy to finalize records when you're ready to spray. Draft entries are stored locally on your device and can be edited before being saved to the cloud.
Photo attachments are planned for future updates. Currently, you can add detailed notes to each record to document any observations or special conditions.
The app is designed for individual use. If multiple people need to use Spraybook, each person should create their own account. However, you can track multiple operators within your account by adding them to your operator list.
We don't currently have multi-user organizational accounts, but this feature is on our roadmap for future development. Please contact us with your specific requirements and we'll work to accommodate your needs.
Import functionality is not currently available. If you have existing spray records you'd like to import, please contact us and we can discuss options for data migration.
Regional Availability
Spraybook was designed with Australian users and regulations in mind, but works worldwide. The flexible measurement system support (metric, imperial, and hybrid) and comprehensive feature set should cover most regional requirements regardless of your location.
Currently, Spraybook is only available in English. Multi-language support may be added in future updates based on user demand.
